Disability has been globally recognized as a development issue and has created a very positive impact on development initiatives in Bangladesh. Access to economic opportunities for people with disabilities is very scarce in Bangladesh. Lack of practical experiences and vocational skills are also obstructing their access to income generation options. Most people with disabilities, including those with a severe level of disability, have the confidence to acquire education and engage in financially gainful contributing activities enabling them as effective contributors.

To create sustainable entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for persons with physical disabilities, Futurenation has partnered with Give Bangladesh and the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP) in the private sectors for setting up sewing machine operation training centers so that the beneficiaries can enter a decent job or pursue their own small enterprises after being trained from the training centers.
